My Vintage - French Bridal Shower

On May 29th 2016, I was overwhelmed with love and appreciation from all the beautiful ladies in my life. It was an intimate affair held at the delicious restaurant in Richmond Hill, called Bill's Pit. Don't judge the place by it's name which I'm sure a few guests did- I don't blame you! That's why I added 'le petite' to the name on the invitation. (lol) The food was plenty with the choice of salmon, cod or stuffed chicken and cooked to perfection. Not to mention the service exceptional. Thank you to the owner Frank and his great team!
My theme was simple and inspired by our life experiences, people, and vintage elements. There was a little bit of French music & sweets, a lot of Italian cuisine & home-made cookies and a splash of tasty Mexican Sangria.
As guests arrived they were greeted by the bride aka me, my MOH and the special moms. Guests were then directed to the entrance table where my lovely bridesmaids gave out my very first custom designed pens to sign a special donation letter for the girls at the Center for the Arts, PAP. (Learn more in my Power of Art blog post) When Mark proposed to me, one of the first things that came to mind was that we wanted to include the CFTA in a special way. Mark and I have made the girls part of our yearly donation for a few years now and I have the honor of being on the board. So what better way to include them and help spread their story other than to make a donation on behalf of our family and friends. That's just one way we are including Bernard, Nadia & the girls as we make our love official. More to come with the wedding post.
A bridal shower isn't complete without games! Congrats to all the winners and thank you for the special words of wisdom! I will take them all seriously! hahaha
Above I'm with my beautiful maid of honor and below my wild bridesmaids are busy at work.
So grateful to all the ladies who filled up my sweet table with pastries, the macaroon tower and homemade delights!
Above, I'm with my mother-in-law to be who is already a 2nd mom to me.
Our flower girls Lauren & Chiara and Jr. Bridesmaid Salome. SO much beauty!
My main man...
A man I'm grateful to have in my life and can't believe we're finally going ahead with this!! <3
We'd be lost without these two strong and loving women in our lives.
Lauren with her uncle Mark about to surprise Nanny Barbara with flowers of her own. Can't wait to see her sparkle as our flower girl.
We took a moment to acknowledge those who were there with us in spirit. Our beautiful angel niece Verona and our loving spicy Nonna Giuseppina.
And that's a wrap!
Thank you to everyone who made this day so special for me. I wish it hadn't flown by so fast!
Much love,
