Make Me Up!

Before the big day I've been in search for the perfect makeup for my face and some useful tips!

First off my search started with a magical 24k gold facial from the amazing Victoria Radford at her beautiful new location in Yorkville. Check it all out here   I was treated like a princess and picked up some much needed essentials! i've been using the products for a few weeks now and I'm very happy with the results. The foundation feels so light on my skin yet it covers all my imperfections and the camera ready balm is my favourite. It has a spa like aroma and makes my skin smooth.

Here's what I got: Vanilla Mineral Liquid Powder Foundation SPF 15, Camera Ready Balm, Soft Focus Powder, the big and oh so soft Powder Brush and a Noir Gel Eye Liner.

Long before visiting Victoria at her RAD spa I was inspired by her instagram account. She is a strong, fun, fashionable and successful woman who radiates good energy that I had to paint her and her precious little pup.

After gathering my goodies from Ms. Radford, I had to share them with my talented makeup artist and good friend Andrea Fragala. Andrea and I have worked along side eachother for photo shoots, special events and anytime I ask her. Plus she will be making my girls and me look extra special for my big day!

I asked Andrea a few questions to help me with my everyday/wedding makeup:

Q: Ange, How do I avoid the raccoon eyes after putting on eyeliner?

A: I get this question all the time and it's a simple fix. Make sure to set the liner with a black powder just as if you were to set your foundation.

Q: Sometimes my skin looks dry and flaky after putting on foundation, why?

A: Your skin is the base of your makeup, if you're not moisturizing enough or exfoliating at least 1-3 times per week than you will experience dry and flaky skin.  Before a special day, like your wedding, I strongly recommend that you use rose hip oil nightly the week prior and the day of make sure to exfoliate, tone and moisturize. Your skin will glow.

Q: What should I keep on me for the day of?

A: To stay fresh all day, make sure to use a makeup setting spray before leaving for the Church and keep the soft focus powder, eyeliner, blush, brush, concealer and lipstick with you. You'll be thankful for it.

Below is Andrea's work that I'd like her to do for me...
